Maia also champions racehorse ownership and holds farming & agricultural production on her family estate in Asia. Maia Engel holds a PhD in Fine Arts from the Dokuz Eylul University of Izmir, Turkey.

Eugene Engel, Chairman

Eugene is an International Sommelier with an extensive wine making and educational background.

Eugene holds a B.Sc. from Cornell University for Viticulture and Oenology.

Knighted by the region of Champagne. He also represents many fine wine & spirit companies globally.

Holding multiple Sommelier degrees in France, Germany, Italy, and the USA.

Eugene has over 40 years of experience of import and distributor relations in the fine wine and spirits industry.

 

Paul Dransfield, CEO

Paul has worked at the highest level of hospitality for 40 years.

He has operated the largest stock taking and consultancy business in the Channel Islands for 35 years.

Also, a Member of LIV-EX and has put together one of the rarest private collections of wines, champagnes and spirits in the World.

Danny Saltzman, National Sales Director

As Founder and CEO of The Fuel Brands, Danny Saltzman is committed to delivering exceptional results and driving long-term success for clients across a number of brands and categories.
He is enthusiastic about innovation and has invested in impactful transformation for the multitude of brands he’s managed across multiple channels. The Fuel Brands aims to transform and re-imagine how brands dominate strategically, collaboratively, and impactfully.

As a veteran leader in the beverage industry, Danny has spent more than two decades driving growth for some of the most recognized brands in the world, initiating special projects at corporations that impact the national footprint.
During his tenure as Director of National Retail for Breakthru Beverage Group, one of North America’s largest alcohol distributors, Danny focused on developing strategic plans across some of the most high profile customers. Additionally, Danny acted as Director of Supplier Engagement for the group, where he created opportunities for suppliers to broaden their profiles and attract consumer support through unique branding and trade marketing opportunities. Danny also drove disruptive data technology platforms across distribution networks to scale emerging brands on a national level.

Prior to Breakthru, Danny oversaw Moet Hennessy’s Connecticut business, where he managed wholesale and drove an increase in revenue statewide by double-digit growth consistently.
Danny has also held various senior leadership sales and marketing roles for other large suppliers, including Diageo, Brown Forman, Sidney Frank, Coors Brewing Company and Seagram Beverage Company.

Known as a passionate and strategic leader with a sophisticated perspective, Danny works to inspire action, commitment and results. He has a real-time pulse across CPG, beverage, technology and hospitality industries and prides himself on getting things executed with laser precision.
In his spare time, Danny enjoys researching new companies and acts as an advisor and investor as well as mentor across beverage, tech, CPG and hospitality categories. He also enjoys frequent guest speaker opportunities on leadership, entrepreneurial endeavors and sustainability. He is a graduate of Hofstra University.

Widely recognized for his innovative and strategic approach to global brand promotion, Steve has built a distinguished career by leveraging a vast array of marketing strategies, honed over decades of experience. His leadership has helped shape billion-dollar businesses, with a notable presence in international markets and a key role in the Defense Logistics Agency’s (DLA) Prime Vendor Program.

Ken Yeung, New director of Asian markets

Ken Yeung, U.S. developer, has over 20 years of real estate investment and development experience on the East Coast. In the past 15 years, particularly in areas with a high concentration of Chinese communities, he has been a commercial real estate financing expert with deep capital resources and market insights. He has led multiple multinational collaboration projects and 2B & 2C business negotiations, possessing rich experience in international trade and commercial real estate. His area of expertise focuses on real estate financing & investment consulting providing clients with flexible financing solutions (especially in addressing refinancing issues after project completion) through close connections with private equity funds, family offices, and real estate investment trusts.
